On Tuesday 15th March, we held an Indoor Athletics event in the dome, to which 17 primary schools brought teams of year 5 and 6 pupils to compete. 20 Year 8 Young Leaders assisted with the running of this, tasked with timekeeping, scoring and demonstrating the different events.
In the afternoon, we took 4 teams of our own to compete in the Athletics – one year 7 girls team, one year 7 boys team, one year 8 girls team and one year 8 boys team. All teams competed brilliantly and represented our school wonderfully. Our year 8 boys team placed first overall in their competition and will move onto the finals, happening next month!
