Message from the Principal, Mrs Peace
Well done, we are all very proud of the achievements of all our students. This awards ceremony is an opportunity to receive recognition for the hard work and dedication to learning you have all shown.
Whilst we all understand the challenges of the last two years, I have every confidence this generation of young people will go on to become resilient and able to cope with change, and more appreciative of things we have always taken for granted.
With these virtues I believe they will lead successful lives, transforming the world around them to become more sustainable, equal, and ultimately more prosperous. Your teachers and families are, rightly, proud of your achievements and this ceremony celebrates some outstanding role models within our school.
Message from the Governors’ Chairman, Julie Holmes
Celebrating the successes of our students is a highpoint in the school year. It is unfortunate that we are unable to celebrate in person this year, but this does not diminish the awards, instead it highlights the demanding academic environment that our students have lived through.
The school year 2020/21 has been exceptionally challenging with COVID-19, the students at our school have all coped admirably and with determination to continue their education. The resilience to deal with such rapidly changing times will be a lifelong skill that will help equip our students for the future. I want to express how very proud the Governors are, and I know that all our staff are so very proud of each and every one of our students.
The celebrants for this year’s awards however have exceeded all our expectations and kept going through personal and academic challenges. They have shown the content of their character to be one of great fortitude and positivity, qualities that will only serve them well in their bright futures.
It is with the greatest of pleasures that I say a huge congratulations and very well done to all our award winners for the resilience and determination they have all demonstrated, and we wish them all every success for the future.

Final Words
Thank you to all of you for taking part in celebrating the achievements of this outstanding group of young people. As a school we are immensely proud of our school community and how they have managed over the last two years. Here’s to returning to some sort of normal for the next school year.
