Music offers more than skills on an instrument; it is a key social subject that helps to build a child's character through many different opportunities. At SHS our music curriculum is built with this in mind however our timetabled lessons are only the start of the musical opportunities that we offer.
Based on our Development Plan for our subject we have developed a number of opportunities for students to:
- Develop their perseverance and determination through learning an instrument through Severn Arts.
- Develop courage and confidence through our performance opportunities throughout the year.
- Develop a sense of community and teamwork through the development of our choir 'VOX' (new to 24/25).
