A-Levels
In Summer 2025, we celebrated some excellent results from students with top achievers gaining A*AB, AAA, A*AC, AAB and D*D*D. Our average A-Level Grade remained at a C- with more students studying A-Level qualifications than for the past few years. Our Applied General subjects continue to show strong achievement with an average grade of a Merit +, alongside a significant increase in the Average Point Score. This is bolstered by the highly successful sporting excellence programme in both Basketball and Rugby, which continues to attract students from across the West Midlands and beyond.
These figures are based on students who entered at least one A level or AS level. A levels are available in a wide range of subjects, including English, maths, sciences, languages and humanities. Academic Qualifications (including A-Levels)
Academic qualifications include A levels but also other ‘level 3’ academic qualifications such as International Baccalaureates and Pre-U. These figures are based on students who were entered for at least one academic qualification that takes the same amount of time to study as an AS level or above.
Applied General Qualifications (broad vocational qualifications)
Applied general are qualifications that provide broad study of a vocational area. They are designed to lead to higher education and they include areas such as performing arts, business and health and social care.
