The Stourport VIth Form ACE (Academy, Colleges & Education) programme, in partnership with Gloucester Rugby Academy, is a rugby programme combining A level or B-Tec studies with a training and playing schedule that provides three training sessions and one game per week. Working closely together with the VIth form teachers, the rugby programme and Gloucester Rugby Academy provides a combined programme that focuses on the six pillars of development and performance; technical practice, tactical understanding, performance analysis, strength and conditioning, sports psychology and nutrition. We play in the national ACE league which sees us play against other Premiership Clubs’ ACE Colleges.

The programme suits those players that aspire to play at a high level of rugby post college. We look for players who have the potential to progress in the game and also the determination to improve and progress.
The ACE programme has produced many players that are now playing at a high level, including in the English premiership and in Super BUCS (the highest University division). We have a brand new 4G playing surface, which provides a top-class training and playing surface.
